New Stucco Garage in Minneapolis

Foley Exteriors was hired by a contractor to install stucco on this new garage.  The garage was built to service a home on Lake Nokomis Parkway in the Hale neighborhood of Minneapolis.  It is a very large garage for the city of Minneapolis, with room for three cars, and also includes a loft area on the second story of this garage.  We needed to match the color and texture of the stucco on the home when we applied the stucco finish coats on this new garage.  The general contractor and homeowner were very pleased with the stucco, and the entire neighborhood is quite jealous of this amazing new garage!...

Refinished Stucco on a South Minneapolis Home

This home in the Standish neighborhood of Minneapolis was being renovated by the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, a local non-profit organization.  They originally painted the stucco to match the new siding on the garage, but were unhappy with the results.  The stucco had been improperly repaired numerous times, and these imperfections were quite visible, even after the new coat of paint.  We were contracted to make the stucco on the home look beautiful again. First, we needed to sandblast the existing stucco to remove the new paint that had recently been applied.  We then needed to repair the stucco where the previous patches were evident, in order to reduce their visibility once the stucco was refinished.  We allowed the patches to cure, and then we applied a two-coat stucco finish, using a knock-down dash texture.  We needed to mix a custom color, in order to match the paint on the garage.  The results were a beautiful new stucco finish, that makes the home look brand new.  The organization was very pleased, and the future owners of this south Minneapolis home will be able to enjoy their new stucco for many, many years....

Refinished Stucco on a Double Bungalow in South Minneapolis

The owner of this double bungalow had received a notice from the city of Minneapolis that his property needed to be repaired.  A previous owner had stucco applied over paint, which was falling off of the building.  We first needed to sandblast the exterior of the house and garage, in order to remove both the outer coating of stucco, and also the layer of paint that was on the home.  We also needed to repair the stucco in many different areas, as some of the original stucco was in poor condition. We allowed the stucco patched to cure, and then we returned to apply a two-coat stucco finish to the entire house and the detached garage.  We used a knock-down dash texture on most of the house, with a pebble dash texture on the foundation.  The color used was Colonial Cream, which looks great with the deep brown trim on the windows and fascia.  The new stucco not only pleases the owners of this south Minneapolis double bungalow, but also meets the city of Minneapolis’ requirements for repairing the exterior of the property....
